As customer data is an essential part of Payne Security’s bureau card production, protection of data is highly important to ensure cardholder details are kept safe at all times.  Data is uploaded via a secure FTP link which is 128 bit encrypted, using SSL encryption technology, protecting it from interception by people looking to steal data.  As soon as data is received, it is removed from the FTP site and moved to a secure server, adding an extra layer of security.

To ensure that data is kept separate and customers cannot access each others’ data, each customer is given a unique login and password to their own area of the FTP site.

Production Control System

All data is held internally and is not outsourced to external data companies, meaning Payne Security is in possession of the data at all times.  All data is secured within our Production Control System (PCS), which secures the source data throughout the production process.  Only approved employees are given access to PCS, which logs all user activity at every stage.  Data is hosted centrally and is not retained on an individual users PC but is supplied from PCS on demand for each production process, with only the required data for the specific piece of equipment being sent.

Business System Continuity

As part of Payne Security’s business systems all data is mirrored to a second server to ensure that in the unlikely event of a server malfunction or power outage, data is retained and does not need to be re-uploaded by the customer.  In addition to this, data is backed up daily
