Payne Security Joins IAA To Support Authentication's Future

IAA

Issue Date: January 2007

Payne Security has become a founder member of the International Authentication Association (IAA), in order to promote the importance of authentication systems and technology across the world.  In addition, the company’s Head of Marketing, Simon Wildash, has been elected to the Board.

Authentication play a vital role in anti-counterfeiting and protection strategies for a variety of products and documents, yet the industry is left out of strategic discussions on anti-counterfeiting policy at the national and international level due to the lack of a collective voice.

The IAA, launched in January 2007, aims to promote the role and value of authentication to corporate, regional, national and global bodies.  With a remit to provide an authoritative lead in debates about the development of the industry, the Association hopes to attract the membership of the hundreds of companies worldwide involved in authentication.

With its experience in the brand protection and document authentication sectors, Payne Security was quick to recognise the potential of the IAA and had no hesitation in supporting the new organisation. “We are proud to be a founder member of the IAA and Payne Security is committed to supporting its efforts to ensure that the experience and expertise of the authentication industry plays a part in determining anti-counterfeiting strategies at all levels,” comments Simon Wildash.

“The IAA presents a tremendous opportunity to give a voice to the interests of the authentication industry, and to inform a wide range of businesses, governments and other bodies of the role it can play.  I am delighted to be involved in a personal and a professional capacity,” Simon Wildash adds.
