New Managing Director for Payne Security - Mark Palmer
Issue Date: 15 January 2008
Payne Security, one of the world’s leading providers of personal ID, brand protection and document authentication solutions, has appointed Mark Palmer as Managing Director, as part of a re-organisation of its managerial structure and product portfolio designed to improve efficiency and customer focus.
This new expanded position replaces Palmer’s previous role within Payne Security as General Manager for operations and sales covering the company’s document authentication and personal ID business sectors. Palmer helped to oversee the creation of parts of Payne Security back in 2005 following the merger of Morane and Laminex with the larger Payne organisation. Previously he had spent fifteen years in the Payne tear tape business, working up from graduate level to General Manager. Palmer will report to Tony Edwards, Divisional Managing Director of Filtrona plc’s Coated & Security Products Division.
Commenting on the appointment Edwards said: “Mark has already played a major role in the development of Payne Security and I am delighted that he will continue to do so in the capacity of Managing Director. His knowledge and experience will be invaluable in our restructured management team.”
Palmer added: “I welcome both my new appointment and the restructuring as a means of further enhancing Payne Security’s commitment to outstanding service, performance and innovation. I relish the opportunity to take the company to even greater heights.”
