Payne Security Gets Smart
Issue Date: September 2007
The benefits of Payne Security’s personalised ID cards – in terms of in-built security, durability, high definition print quality and corporate image enhancement – can now be combined with smart card technology, providing companies with a secure smart card for a variety of applications, including access control, cashless vending, and auditing of time and attendance data. Payne Security will be showcasing these capabilities at Cartes 2007 in November (Stand 4J 070).
With ID card fraud an increasing threat, it is essential for companies and organisations to stay one step ahead. The addition of smart card manufacturing to Payne Security’s portfolio gives suppliers across a range of sectors including security, access control and other applications where ID cards are used, the means to add value to the cards currently provided with their systems.
High definition print and digital personalisation are locked into the core of the card together with either the contact or contactless chip technology. Payne Security offers a range of contact card chips and high-quality inlays for contactless cards, to ensure the highest level of security for the overall card. High speed encoding production lines are able to identify cards and encode the unique data according to the structure and requirements of each card application.
For customers who wish to personalise their cards on site, Payne Security can specify a secure smart card base stock print option, whose high definition security print is locked into the card for oveprinting using a desktop printer.
“The combination of ‘smart’ technology with the proven benefits of our high definition, secure printed personal ID card solutions is the perfect marriage of convenience and security,” comments Simon Wildash of Payne Security. “Employees can benefit from a range of useful features without the fear of fraudulent usage.”
Security on cards can be further enhanced with the addition of highly visual hologram features for instant visual impact. From transparent embossed holographic stamps for added protection of photos and personalised data, through to unique holographic designs with integrated security features, the addition of holograms to cards presents an additional layer of security and enhancement of corporate image.
Further assistance to customers is also provided by Payne Security’s complete fulfilment service, providing a one-stop shop for managed card services. The fulfilment system is able to generate a printed carrier document and securely match it to up to six cards, folding and inserting them into an envelope, together with up to two other documents or leaflets.
“By delivering cards right into the hands of the end user, Payne Security enables businesses to reach their customers quickly and efficiently,” adds Simon Wildash.
